A wedding is documented more heavily than any other day of your life. HD makeup is the finish that holds up to that level of scrutiny.

No flashback

The white cast you see in bad wedding photos comes from heavy SPF and silica-loaded products. We test the exact base against a flash at the trial so you never see it on the day.

Coverage you can dial

HD is buildable — light over healthy skin, heavier over pigmentation, scarring or an old tan line, without the whole face turning into a mask.

Blurs texture, keeps skin

Fine pigment softens pores and fine lines while still reading like skin in person. Your close family should recognise your face, not a filter.

When HD is the right call

Both finishes are good. They are good at different things, and picking the wrong one is why some brides feel their makeup 'did not suit them'.

Choose HD for indoor ceremonies
Halls, mandapams and hotel ballrooms are lit unevenly and shot with flash. HD holds its colour under both.

Choose HD for heavier coverage
If you want acne marks, pigmentation or an uneven tan genuinely covered rather than softened, HD builds further than airbrush does.

Choose HD for dry or normal skin
It sits comfortably on skin that is not oil-prone and keeps a healthy, slightly dewy finish rather than a flat matte one.

Choose airbrush for heat and oil
Outdoor muhurthams, beach receptions and very oily skin are where airbrush wins — it is thinner and takes sweat better.

What is HD bridal makeup?

HD stands for high-definition — very finely milled pigments that sit smoothly enough to read well on high-resolution cameras. It blurs texture without looking powdery, which is why it became the default for wedding photography.

How much does HD bridal makeup cost in Chennai?

HD bridal makeup is included in our Silver package at ₹7,999, which also covers bridal hairstyling and saree draping. The Gold package at ₹9,999 uses a premium HD base and adds a pre-bridal facial and lashes.

Will HD makeup cause flashback in photos?

Not with the products we use. Flashback comes from heavy SPF, silica and certain setting powders bouncing light back at the camera. We photograph your trial with a direct flash specifically to rule it out before the wedding day.

Is HD makeup suitable for oily skin?

It can be, with the right prep and a mattifying primer, but if you are very oil-prone and the function is outdoors we will usually recommend airbrush instead. That is a decision we make at the trial, not over the phone.

How long does HD bridal makeup last?

A full wedding day — roughly 12 to 14 hours — with light blotting. You leave with blotting sheets and your exact lip colour so you can refresh yourself between functions.

Does HD makeup look heavy in person?

It should not. Coverage is built in thin layers to the level you asked for at the trial. Brides who want a lighter effect on the day usually choose our natural bridal makeup instead, which uses the same prep with far less base.

Can HD makeup cover acne scars and pigmentation?

Yes — this is where HD is strongest. It builds further than airbrush, so genuine coverage over acne marks, pigmentation and tan lines is achievable without the rest of the face looking heavy.

Do I need a trial for HD makeup?

We strongly recommend it. The trial is where we test the base against your skin in daylight and under flash, and it is the only reliable way to confirm the finish before the day that cannot be redone.
