Hall lighting washes features out and stage distance flattens them. A face that looked perfect at 6 AM will read as bare from the front row at 8 PM.

Definition that carries

Eyes, contour and lips are graded up so your features still register from the back of the hall and on a photographer's zoom lens.

How much does reception makeup cost in Chennai?

A reception look starts at ₹7,999 including makeup, hairstyling and draping. If you are booking it as a second look on the same day as your muhurtham, it is quoted together with the wedding package before you confirm.

Can you do both my muhurtham and reception on the same day?

Yes, this is our most common booking. We remove the morning look completely, reset the skin and hair, and build the evening look fresh. The turnaround takes about ninety minutes and is written into your schedule.

Should reception makeup be heavier than muhurtham makeup?

More defined, yes — but not heavier on the skin. Hall lighting and stage distance flatten features, so eyes and lips are graded up while the base stays comfortable.

Will my makeup show up properly in flash photography?

That is what it is built for. We avoid the heavy SPF and silica that cause white flashback, and we test the exact base under a direct flash at your trial.

Do you change the hairstyle for the reception?

Almost always. A change from the morning jadai to a sleek bun, soft waves or a styled half-up is what makes the two sets of photographs look like different events.

How long does reception makeup take?

About two and a half hours from a clean face, or roughly ninety minutes as a same-day turnaround after the muhurtham, since the prep work is already done.

Can you drape my reception lehenga or designer saree?

Yes, draping is included. Reception outfits are often lighter and structured differently from a Kanjivaram, so the pinning approach changes accordingly.

Do you stay for touch-ups during the reception?

For same-day bookings we stay through the stage photo session and touch up before dinner. Longer standby can be arranged and is quoted upfront.
