The first time both families see you together. Lighter, luminous, daytime-friendly, and deliberately a step below the wedding day.

Mehendi & sangeet — comfortable
Long hours, movement and heat. Hair off the face, minimal transfer, and nothing you will be fighting with by the second hour.

Muhurtham — the full traditional look
The peak. Strong eyes, classic lip, full jadai and jewellery, planned around a pre-sunrise start and hours of ritual.

Reception — evening glam
Indoors and heavily lit, so intensity goes up again. A changed hairstyle and a different drape keep it visually distinct from the morning.

Wedding Makeup Artist — Questions

Do you cover all the wedding functions or only the wedding day?

All of them — engagement, mehendi, sangeet, muhurtham, reception and post-wedding functions. Booking them together lets us plan the looks as a progression and usually costs less than booking each event separately.

How much does a wedding makeup artist cost in Chennai?

Bridal packages start at ₹7,999 per function and include makeup, hairstyling and draping. Multi-function weddings are quoted as one booking, and family or bridesmaid makeup is added at a per-person rate agreed before you confirm.

Can you do makeup for my family and bridesmaids as well?

Yes. Mother of the bride, sisters, bridesmaids and the groom can all be added to any function. Tell us how many people at booking so enough time is built into the schedule.

Will one artist manage a large bridal party?

For larger groups we bring an assistant so nobody is rushed, but the bride is always done by Thulasi herself. That is fixed regardless of how many other people are being styled.

Do you travel between venues on the same day?

Yes. A common pattern is the muhurtham at a hall in the morning and the reception at a hotel in the evening, and we move with you. There is no travel charge inside Chennai city limits.

How early should I book for the whole wedding?

Three to six months for peak season dates between January and March. Multi-function bookings should be confirmed earlier than single ones because they block more of the calendar.

Can each function have a different look?

That is the intention. We plan the sequence at the trial so the intensity, hairstyle and drape change deliberately across the functions rather than repeating.

What if a function timing changes at the last minute?

Tell us as soon as you know. Timings shift constantly in Indian weddings and we build buffer into the schedule for it — the earlier we know, the more easily it absorbs.
