Which Function

Different events, different faces

Not every wedding invitation calls for the same look. Here is roughly how we pitch each one.

Muhurtham — daytime and warm
Early, bright and often outdoors or in an open hall. Lighter coverage with warm tones photographs best in that light.

Reception — evening and lit
Indoors under stage lighting with flash photography everywhere. More definition on the eye and lip is worth it here.

Usually a daytime lunch event. Glowing and understated, with hair that survives a few hours of conversation.

I had an incredible experience with Shaarmika's bridal studio. Not only is she an extremely talented and Professional Artist, she is also a really down to earth person. She curated very personalized Makeup Looks for each of my Wedding function which was all done so well. Not only did I look different, she still managed to keep all the looks very natural and neat. Rekha, was also very helpful and made valuable suggestions for my outfits and jewellery. I had a really wonderful experience with her and I am super Happy to have chosen her for my Wedding Makeup. My family and I were very concerned about safety and hygiene. But, Rekha and her Team were extremely mindful about this. They were all wearing Masks, kept sanitising their hands & tools. This was indeed a great relief. Also, something else I have to mention here is that, there were a quite a lot of people from my family who wished to get dressed, but, at the same time we did not want to hire multiple artists or have a large team. And this issue was handled very professionally by Shaarmika's. There were compliments galore from family and friends and I have to thank Shaarmika's for this. Wedding Guest Makeup — Questions

How much does wedding guest makeup cost in Chennai?

Guest makeup is priced per person and sits well below bridal package pricing. Message us with the function and date and you will have a firm quote the same day — there is no obligation.

How long does guest makeup take?

About an hour for makeup and hairstyling together. For a group at one house we allow roughly an hour each and send you a running order.

Do you come to my home?

Yes, that is the point of it. We come to you before you leave for the function, and there is no travel charge inside Chennai city limits.

Can a few of us book together?

Yes, and it is the most economical option. Sisters, cousins and friends getting ready at one address works out cheaper per person than everyone booking separately.

What should I send you before the booking?

A photo of your outfit, the function type and the time you need to be ready. That is enough for us to bring the right shades and plan the hairstyle.

Will guest makeup last through the whole evening?

Yes. It uses the same long-wear routine as our bridal work with lighter coverage, and you keep blotting sheets and your lip shade for a refresh after the meal.

Can I book at short notice?

Often, yes. Guest bookings do not compete with peak muhurtham dates, so same-week and sometimes next-day slots are available. Ask and we will answer honestly.

Is hairstyling included?

Yes — a blow-dry, waves, a bun or a half-up chosen against your outfit and neckline is part of the booking rather than an add-on.
